Fees
The amount of fees, tuition fees and other charges is set annually and published in a separate document (Table of tuition fees, charges and fees), meaning that the amounts applicable in subsequent academic years may be subject to change.

Applications will only be considered valid after proof of payment of the respective fee.
The enrolment fee and the first monthly payment are due at the time of enrolment. Application and enrolment fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, even if the student cancels their enrolment before starting the course.
Scholarships
There are several funding options available for PhD students at Católica Porto School of Business and Economics:
- Católica Porto School of Business and Economics PhD Fellowship – exceptional candidates may be awarded a PhD fellowship by the school, which covers both tuition fees and living expenses
- Teaching Assistantships – opportunities for assistantships are available after the approval on the thesis plan, providing students with both financial support and valuable academic experience;
- Other Funding Sources - examples are FCT scholarships – the Portuguese Foundation for science and Technology offers competitive scholarships for PhD. Students (Concurso Bolsas de Doutoramento 2025 – Linha de Candidatura Geral - FCT); and Fundação La Caixa (Doutoramento INPhINIT - Fundação "la Caixa")
There are several funding options available for PhD students at Católica Porto School of Business and Economics. After enrollment in the thesis curricular unit, students will be eligible for a research bursary from Centre for Research in Management and Economics for dissemination activities
