The Centre for Operations and Business Analytics (COBA) is a centre at Católica Porto SBE dedicated to bridging scientific knowledge and business practice in the fields of Operations Management and Business Analytics. Its aim is to generate knowledge that enhances productivity, quality and innovation across industries and service-related activities.

At a time when data analytics and artificial intelligence are transforming how organisations manage resources, plan operations and make decisions, COBA brings academic research closer to the real-world challenges faced by businesses. It fosters collaboration between researchers and organisations and promotes applied research, developing solutions to practical problems ranging from customer experience and service design to process improvement, servitisation, and demand forecasting and optimisation.
