The Master's in Management at Católica Porto School of Business and Economics (Católica Porto SBE) once again features in the prestigious Financial Times Masters in Management ranking, this year ranking 66th among 100 programmes worldwide. This result represents a rise of 29 places compared with the previous year, the biggest progression recorded among all the schools featured in the 2026 ranking.

The standout highlight of the performance of Católica Porto SBE's Master's programme is the Career Progress Rank indicator, which measures the evolution in seniority and size of the organisations where alumni work between course completion and three years later. On this criterion, Católica Porto SBE achieved 1st place worldwide, climbing a further seven places on last year's already excellent result.

At the European level, the programme now ranks 54th, up 21 places from 2025, confirming the upward trajectory of Católica Porto SBE's Master's in Management within the management education landscape in Portugal and Europe.

"This recognition from the Financial Times confirms Católica Porto School of Business and Economics' trajectory as a benchmark in management education at the national, European and global level," notes João Pinto, Dean of Católica Porto SBE. "It is a result that reflects the commitment of the whole school - faculty, staff, students and alumni - to academic excellence and to training that generates real impact on society and on organisations," he concludes.

On the Salary Percentage Increase indicator, which assesses the evolution in alumni salaries between completing the programme and three years after graduation, Católica Porto SBE's Master's in Management once again achieved the best result among the Portuguese institutions featured in the ranking, with a salary increase of 73%, significantly above both the global average (42%) and the national average (53%).

On the Value for Money indicator, which relates alumni salaries to the programme's duration, fees and associated costs, seeking to assess the return on investment made, Católica Porto SBE's Master's in Management achieved 28th place worldwide, a rise of six places compared with the previous year and, again, the best ranking among Portuguese schools.

"These results confirm the value proposition of our Master's in Management: a programme that prepares students for the job market and translates into real career progression and salary growth in the years following graduation. The rise of 29 places in the Financial Times ranking is external recognition of work we do every day with our students and with our partner companies," says Susana Costa e Silva, Director of Católica Porto SBE's Master's in Management.

The programme also delivers an outstanding performance on the 3-Month Employability indicator, with 100% of graduates employed within this period. This figure reinforces the programme's strong connection to the job market and the high employability of its graduates.

This year's ranking also reflects the programme's growing internationalisation, accompanied by strong international representation across several of the school's academic bodies.

Católica Porto SBE also maintains consistent performance in terms of gender balance, with 46% women among faculty and 49% among students, both figures above the global averages (40% and 48%, respectively).
