From 6 to 10 July, Católica Porto Business School welcomed around 90 secondary school students for another edition of Teen Academy Young Enterprise, a programme designed to provide a first experience of university life through a week of challenges, learning and exposure to the world of management and economics.

Over the course of five days, participants were challenged to develop a business project in the restaurant and food service sector, applying management and economics concepts with the support of the School's academic staff and student mentors, who are themselves undergraduate students at Católica Porto Business School.

Alongside the academic component, the programme fostered teamwork, creativity, communication and problem-solving skills, giving students a closer insight into higher education. One of the highlights of the week was the Academic Cluedo: The Secret of the Seven Faculties, which challenged participants to solve a mystery while developing logical reasoning, communication, leadership and teamwork skills as they explored the Católica Porto Business School campus.

Another highlight was the Let's Talk About Business panel, which brought together four Católica Porto Business School alumni: Francisco Vilas Boas, Bernardo Sardinha, Sara Pinto and Beatriz Peixoto de Sousa.

During the session, the speakers shared their academic and professional journeys, providing participants with valuable insights into the wide range of career opportunities available in the fields of management and economics.

On the final day, participants presented their business ideas in a final pitch, receiving valuable feedback from the judging panel. The Diploma Award Ceremony recognised the best performances in the "Best Group Presentation" and "Best Individual Performance" categories. The ceremony was attended by the Dean of Católica Porto Business School, João Pinto, the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programmes, Helena Correia, João Novais, the academic coordinator of Teen Academy, and Sofia Graça, Head of Marketing and Communications.

More than just a summer programme, Teen Academy Young Enterprise continues to offer secondary school students a unique opportunity to discover Católica Porto Business School, experience university life first-hand and explore their interest in the fields of management and economics.
