At a time when organisations face increasing levels of complexity, the programme is built on a central idea: leadership is not learned solely in the classroom; it is developed in situations where decisions are required, mistakes are possible, and adaptation is critical.
During the session, the programme co-directors, Ricardo Cunha and Inácio Rozeira, highlighted the importance of preparing leaders to operate in environments where information is limited and risk is constant, underlining the need to develop resilience, strategic clarity, and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
One of the most notable moments was the testimonial of António Botelho Moniz, who shared his experience in an expedition context. Reflecting on the gap between expectations and reality, he highlighted moments of doubt, the management of effort, and the transformative impact of the experience, both personally and professionally.
Scheduled to begin in June 2026, the programme is structured as a journey across three phases: preparation, expedition, and debrief, combining classroom learning with practical application in extreme conditions.
The highlight will be the Kilimanjaro expedition, taking place between 25 October and 1 November, where participants will be challenged to apply leadership tools in real conditions marked by pressure, uncertainty, and limited resources.
More than a traditional programme, Summit Leadership Kilimanjaro offers an immersive experience designed to develop leaders capable of performing effectively in demanding and unpredictable environments.
