The event began with a welcome gathering in the campus garden, where participants had the opportunity to engage informally with several of the School’s student groups and activities - CASO (CAtólica SOlidária), CIC (Católica Porto Investment Club), CS’C (Católica Students’ Consulting) and AECPBS (Students’ Union) - showcasing the extracurricular dynamics experienced by students. The moment also featured a performance by the male academic tuna.
This was followed by a session in the auditorium, where the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programmes, Helena Correia, introduced the Católica Porto Business School and its academic offer (Bachelor’s in Economics, Management and the Double Degree in Law and Management), highlighting the opportunities available to prospective students.
One of the key moments of the programme was the student and alumni panel (Maria Inês Azevedo, Pedro Vasco, Ana Rio e José Pedrosa), moderated by Francisco Mota, faculty member and alumnus of the Management undergraduate programme, who shared their academic journeys as well as their transition into the job market, offering a realistic perspective on the student experience.
Following this, participants had the opportunity to have their first encounter with the labour market with Sofia Ganchas, Talent Acquisition at Deloitte, who presented the perspective of the labour market, highlighting the skills and attributes most valued in Católica Porto Business School students.
The session also included a Q&A segment, allowing participants to clarify any questions regarding the programmes, application process and university life.
The Open Day concluded with a campus tour, during which secondary school students had the opportunity to explore the facilities of the Universidade Católica in Porto. The initiative reinforces Católica Porto Business School’s commitment to bringing prospective students closer to the university experience, supporting them in making informed decisions about their academic future.
