Católica Porto Business School hosted, from 13 to 17 April, the 5th edition of the International Study Week, an intensive programme that brought together master’s students from partner European institutions for a week of immersive learning and cultural exchange.
Organised in collaboration with Luiss Business School, Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University and Tilburg School of Economics and Management, this initiative is part of an international network of study weeks designed to provide students with a short-term global academic experience. Each institution delivers a programme focused on a specific sector, combining academic sessions with practical and cultural experiences.
The programme delivered in Porto was themed “The Wine Journey”, positioning the Portuguese wine sector as a true living laboratory for learning. In partnership with SOGRAPE Wine Academy, participants explored the wine value chain, from its strategic dimensions to the operational realities of supply chain management.
Throughout the week, students took part in masterclasses, discussions and hands-on activities, achieving a balance between academic knowledge and its application in a business context. The programme also included visits to Quinta do Seixo, in the Douro region, and Caves Ferreira, providing an in-depth understanding of the sector in practice.
This year’s edition was marked by the high level of engagement among participants, whose curiosity and collaborative spirit contributed to a dynamic and enriching experience.
The International Study Week continues to establish itself as a flagship initiative in promoting internationalisation and in preparing future professionals with a global, integrated perspective, equipped to address the challenges of today’s business environment.
